I am Pavla Hampton, a sworn translator and interpreter of English with over 25 years of experience. Since 1996, I have been helping people overcome language barriers – whether in official administrative proceedings, important life events, or everyday communication.

I am registered in the official list of translators and interpreters of the Ministry of Justice of the Czech Republic and a member of the Chamber of Court Appointed Interpreters and Translators. This allows me to guarantee you professional and legally valid translations as well as interpreting services at the highest level.

Official Translations and Interpreting

I specialize in sworn translations and interpreting, especially in the field of legal and official documents, such as:

birth, marriage, and death certificates
extracts from registers and official certificates
school reports and diplomas
contracts, judgments, resolutions
notarial deeds and other official documents

By law I am bound by confidentiality, so your documents and personal data are always secure.

I interpret at courts, with notaries, at the police (including immigration police), at driving school exams, and wedding ceremonies.

I also have experience interpreting at business meetings, training sessions, and various official events.

Since 1994, I have been translating technical, specialized, and business texts. For example:

Thanks to many years of experience, I can adapt the style of translation both to corporate needs and to the personal requirements of individual clients.

Experience with teaching English

I have been teaching English for many years – at primary, secondary, and university level, as well as individually. Thanks to the state language exam at the highest C2 level, I can teach both beginners and advanced students who want to improve their language proficiency.

My approach is based on natural learning and communication – similar to how a child learns to speak. I use grammar only as a supporting tool and help students overcome shyness, so they quickly start speaking and using English with confidence and ease.

Additional Information

I continuously educate myself – I regularly attend training sessions for sworn interpreters and translators organized by the Judicial Academy in Kroměříž.

I also completed a two-semester Juridicum program at the Faculty of Law of Charles University in Prague, focused on legal terminology and the work of translators and interpreters.
